Karen Lynn Cochran (Dykstra)
Karen Lynn Cochran, 69, of Bakersfield, passed away November 7th, 2016. Karen was born on March 3rd, 1947 in Racine, Wisconsin. She moved to Redlands, California as a child and stayed there until she moved to Texas in the early 1980's. She moved with her two children to Bakersfield, California in 1988 and remained there for the rest of her life.
She passed away peacefully in her sleep in the home that she loved. She is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Jean Dykstra, and survived by her children Michelle and Chris Young of Bakersfield, California, and Randy and Lauren Cochran of Aubrey, Texas; two grandchildren; sister Bonnie and David Bloemhof of Bakersfield, California, and brother Dan and Cathe Dykstra of Louisville, Kentucky; and many nieces and nephews. Karen retired from Pacific Gas and Electric after many years of service. She loved the Lord Jesus Christ and playing her piano. She committed her life to raising two children who also love the Lord. They are assured that she is in His presence now with a new body, and glorifying God in Heaven. She will be buried at Hillside Memorial Park of Redlands.
