She was born in Corona, California on August 24, 1947 and later moved to Redlands where she attended Redlands High School and met her loving husband of 47 years. Together they attended Hemet Valley Baptist Church on a regular basis. She enjoyed the art of Tole Painting and often spent time teaching the craft to others. Daniel Rivera Landeros III, a longtime resident of the Redlands and San Bernardino area, died Aug. 28 at his home in San Bernardino, following a long illness. He was 60.
He was born May 28, 1947, in Loma Linda, and lived in Redlands for 26 years, graduating from Redlands High School in 1965.
After high school, he served in the U.S. Army for 10 years and earned his bachelor’s degree from Columbia College in 1975, while he was in the Army.
He served in Korea and Vietnam and received many medals, including a Bronze Star, Air Medal, Meritorious Service Award and a Good Conduct Medal.

Charles Marquiss, a voice familiar to thousands of Riverside County residents, is now silent. Mr. Marquiss, 50, news director of KATY-FM, died quietly in his sleep of natural causes on Sunday morning, March 22, according to a news release from the radio station.
Although he had been suffering from a cold and bronchitis, Mr. Marquiss' death came as a complete surprise to family and co-workers at the station.

He quickly became the typical Dennis the Menace that he remained his entire life. He was drafted into the Army in 1968 and became a Helicopter Crew Chief in Viet Nam for one year.
